Leninade

It seems that the straight edge lifestyle is taking the world by storm, but I am not going let that bother me from attending certain events, especially Oli's surprise birthday bash. It was interesting seeing some old faces such as Natalie, which I barely recognized but I think her intentions were obvious and I never talk to her, considering the past, this was worth a mention, in addition to the "Devourer of 'Ranch'", Bum and Liz made a "guest appearance", which I haven't talked to since the Belphegor/Averse Sefira/Immolation show at the Galaxy.

To substitute for the lack of alcohol, I purchased some Swisher's and to my amazement there was a jumper in the back which must have sent half of us to the better times of a worry-free kid life. It was something that just captures your breathe, seeing half these people enjoy such times in such a dire era, for that time, my bitter emotions were released. Our nostalgic times came about especially those that were referenced to Wrestling, which all did, and we finally fulfilled some of our kid dreams of being a wrestler. Despite the lack of alcohol, it seems Oliver felt a bit wheezy resulting in vomit being spilled upon the grass. This night overall was a fine example that quality time with good friends can never be substituted for anything.

Another aspect of the night that seemed to be absolutely hysterical was the fact that a Penis was used as a pinata, what took this Trojan horse to be even more comical was what it was filled with a vibrator and a few condoms along with the occasional chocolate. To have the perversion excel into further depths, I witnessed a cake in the shape of an Ass with something of fecal resemblance being rubbed with the vibrator and licked by the birthday boy himself, oh how I love the dirty mind. Good thing, Bj, Steve, Steven, and myself were outside smoking what cigars were left after the first batch seemed to go buy in quick fashion.

After the party, Bj and I decided to pay a visit to Famima!! Now this store is a store of such greatness, it has Leninade, along with other imported drinks and snacks. Leninade, is a delicious, lightly-carbonated, melon/orange soda with sarcastic lines referring to the Soviet Union. It is amazing. Usually soda is something I wish to drink only when it would go great with a meal, but this, this will stand among Monsters and be a soda that should be consumed often!

Aside from positive events of this party, Sufa will be departing once again. I wish him all the best within the month of seeing each other. We have reached this far, Vegas will be achieved as planned.

Snapped

Today was my second time I gone to the DMV week and it resulted in another failure. My mom gave me a copy of my Birth Certificate and Social Security so I would be able to get my ID, and they do not accept copies. I became furious, I cursed, screamed, yelled, my emotions spilled. I actually broke down and was covered in my own tears, I guess it was time for my emotions to be set free.

My family took my 18th birthday as another ordinary day, they didn't bother cheering me up especially after I failed my driving test. Instead, I had friends that lifted my spirits and they raised them tremendously (thanks), sadly, it didn't last long.

As of now, my arm is smeared, mutilated. The feeling that I had experienced today was utter failure. I am unable to get shit done, I am looked as a normal person on the streets to family, I am nothing. Don't be surprised at my absence for the rest of the week, I, honestly don't know what to do.

Fail

This is going to be out of pure fucking anger, hate, disgust, and whatever, so whatever comes to mind will fucking come to mine. I drove through 4 intersections had a minor mistake in one, and it costs me my license! What the fuck! Everyone after the test told me that sack of nigger shit is strict as fuck. I guess that's what screwed me over. Fucking shit. Not a good birthday at all, he tried showing sympathy, fucking I'll show him sympathy when his tires are slashed, his car broken into, and when his asshole ripped in fucking half.

Sober

The day started fairly early, early for Mike especially as he had to begin the horrid moving process of transferring all goods and possessions from one place to another. I, among others, decided to help out as that is what friends do. Within one hour of the beginning of the actual process the whole apartment was filled with various items ranging from mattresses to panties. Soon enough, as a result of our aid, we were treated out with Round Table pizza which has never tasted so good. The flavor in those pizzas are superb. No words can be use to describe the generosity of Mike's mom.

In a couple hours, there was to be a Thanksgiving potluck at Oliver's house and it was our duty to go. Sadly, Don, Steven, and I, went through disagreements on what to bring and we finally settled on twenty bottles of Martinelli's, which evokes odd stares that I have yet to unravel. Anyways, around 5:30, Steven and I made our way to Don's house and we finished making the food while having some good conversations with the now skinny, "Gangster Brother". We came to the conclusion that we were going to be late and we highly doubted that there would be much people at 7, everybody tends to lag. Steven and I began to get dressed, I was once again wearing the ruffled shirt with 3 belts around my waist, very "kvlt" if you ask me haha.

We arrived at Oliver's house sometime after 7, and the house was fairly packed. I guess when it comes to tons of food, the response of everybody is much quicker. It was interesting, this was a party that had no alcohol, except the few cans of Guinness which I was disappointed in. It seemed everybody devoured all of the Martinelli's in the spot of Alcohol, and I drank too much resulting in having gas all night. Through out the night, while everybody was playing games, Bj, Mike, Steven, and I, were playing the roles of rich fuckers, and I guess it was the result of being inhumanly bored.

The night overall became a great way to catch up with certain people. It was far better than the previous night, and I guess you can say it was up to my expectations. Next time, I will be sure to prepare my self for dry parties, that is if there will be any in the future.

Wallpaper

As a get well gift for my mother, she just underwent surgery, for what is unknown to me, anyways, my sister decided to begin the deconstruction of my bathroom wall. Previously, it had wallpaper, and the wall paper began to become infested by mold and other organisms so we are deciding to taking it down and painting it, the color has yet been decided. Susie and Marvin began the destruction of the wall and I am continuing their works today by myself, and let me tell you, it's no easy job. I am no wall maker, but I think the mold just got the paper stuck in the areas I was assigned, thus making it much harder. Anyways, I am taking my break and I decided to smoke a swisher I have had for awhile and came to the conclusion, I prefer cigarettes over cigars, or maybe the swisher was quite old, Sufa's going away. And now, my break will probably just consist of blasting some fucking DSBM haha. Lifelover is first on the list.

Anyways, I am looking forward to seeing everyone the few that matter, this weekend. I may be a bit late to the Thanksgiving festivities since my mom will be coming that night, but I assure you, I will be there. Once that is done, another break will be under my wing.

Intellect

So I decided to call out of work today for various reasons and aside from working out, I plan on expanding the horizons of my mind by doing a bit of e-reading. Here is an article that I believed to be well executed, in terms of the examples used and what it has achieved. It just shows you how existentialistic literature has made it's way in music.

Deathspell Omega and Drudkh

Not the song described but it is my favorite from Deathspell Omega.

Enjoy.

Chances are there will be multiple posts

Cacophony

Bestia Arcana

Prepare yourself for a marriage between Ritualistic ambiance and harsh, relentless black metal. Armed with traditional Black Metal beliefs of a higher caliber, there is no nonsense Satan worship, this is pure devotion to the left hand path, something on an esoteric level. This album will be put in my collection soon. Sit back and let your soul be engulfed by all that is tenebrous.

Literature

My lack of reading has definitely been a problem. I can feel my vocabulary wither to what it once was, I have begun finding more grammatical errors in my writings, and my sentence structures are becoming horribly built. On top of that, it seems like I have no new valid words to be used against
"Those that are hated". If anybody has a paypal account, please let me know, I have plenty of books that I am in dire need of. Don't worry I'll give you the money to purchase them for me.

Poetry

It's an interesting aspect that comes up in music consistently. In terms of Poetry, I believe that there is no such thing as good or bad poetry, simply because the definition of it is so wide thus the reason for poetry being a shit degree. Even the structures themselves contain an oddity that is at times hard to pinpoint. Overall, these are just my two cents, poetry should not be referred to being the only good portion of Rap/Hip Hop, resulting in there being NO good coming out of it. Their structures can be great at times, but what is inside those structures is what changes everything. Poetry, I believe is the structure that the lyrics are written in, whether it'd be a rhyming word at the end of every line to a rhythmic beat to the lyrics themselves. I care for what's in the message above all, not the structure.

Don't even bother saying that Black Metal has no message, the message is enough to change such a stubborn person as myself, and it has enough of a message to have a band's symbol and their ideals that has meant so much to me to be branded on my skin. And believe me, there are plenty of ideological bands out there that contain a message far deeper than any other money making mongoloid can do. Let this be clear, this is Art not entertainment.

Process

There are so many things that I wish to say, but I am unable to say it, it is not a writer's block it is more of something that I prefer figuring out thoroughly before having it be said when the thought itself is incomplete.

On a much lighter note, some pervert came in with a signed picture of some Playboy model and he wanted me to find a frame for it. I should have told him white so people would be unsure whether that is cum or not. It was pretty evident that he was a nerd that sat on his computer everyday exploring the various worlds that porn has to offer. I, on the other hand, have given up on porn, I find myself watching it less and less and I find myself feeling filthy after a quick session. It's just one of the many things I am disgusted by.

Motivated

Photobucket

Courtesy of dennisdread.blogspot.com, The Battle For Art!

During sophomore year, I had a denim vest with patches, and eventually it just became difficult to continue the stitchery due to the fact that finding patches of bands that you enjoy is becoming difficult. On the other hand, it seems like there is no problem at all for the Germans to find bands he enjoys since Germany has Wacken every fucking year. Obviously, he has been into the scene for quite sometime and after awhile you just realize that there are as much good bands as there are shit band and being from Germany allows for large amounts of merch for the above reason, Wacken. Although I feel motivated to get another jacket and start patching it up it will become a nuisance to look for patches and not find any. In addition to the difficulty of finding patches in general, I am into Black Metal more than anything else, and half those bands don't even release shirts. And I don't want patches of thrash and death metal bands. As of now, it will be far more difficult to expand this hobby.

Attack! Blood! Revenge!

The last show of my show season was to come and it was anticipated greatly but not being able to drive is beginning to threaten my ability to attend these. I am not much of a War Metal fan resulting in my lack of interest for Revenge, the headlining band. What I was interested though was Krieg, a USBM band that has been on hiatus for quite some time. Anyways, the night began fairly early, Andrew decided to pick me up at 4:30 and along with Andrew, Randy was in the car, which I found very interesting. After I was picked up, we went to go pick up people that I don't know, Sammy, Ashley, and Jeff. There wasn't much room in the van, so Ashley and Jeff had to sit on the floor, and to sit on the floor while Andrew is driving is horrible.

We managed to get there around 6:30, we had missed most of Obeisance's set, which I wanted to see, but there is always next time...I hope. Surprisingly, the show was well attended from the beginning. There were roughly 100 people as I came in and by the end of the night the venue was packed, at least 25 of them being skinheads, only a few seemed to support the nazi clothing sold there. In between the sets I would walk around purchasing merch and I came up on another 4 cds. And being the gentleman that I am, I decided to buy some beers for Sammy and Randy, this would burn a whole in my wallet, but eh, for some reason I was in a really good mood, possibly because the line up was great and I have beer. Although the beer was Tecate, which I don't remember the taste the last time I drank it, it was alright warm, cold it didn't do much. I guess I am still not much of a big fan of Mexican beer, Red neck beer will reign supreme among the Mexican beers, in price and taste.

Next band up was Iconoclast Contra, Zodiac, which borrowed Andrew's razor was using it to add to the atmosphere. By the end of the set, his face was covered in blood and his arms were dripping. No need to elaborate on this subject, half of you will never understand this concept or the others that belong to Self-Mutilation.

The band which was to upstage Iconoclast Contra was Sanguis Imperem. At this time I was mildly buzzed off of two tecates, that soon wore off after their set. Everybody went mad for Sanguis Imperem, and I enjoyed their set to the fullest, it was nice breath of fresh air from tremolo picking black metal. After Sanguis Imperem, Randy and Sammy decided to play some Raiden II and I decided to tag along just to see if their skills will ever surpass mine. And later, I met up with Alex once more and we were discussing various things ranging from starting an Abigail/Sabbat cover band to how fucked up cops can be in Santa Ana.

So, after such a good line-up, the one band I had a burning hatred for was Gravehill. I never liked their music, stage presence, or outfits, the band looked so unorganized that it wasn't something worth watching, I assume that the Cops thought the same way! Yes, Cops decided to join in the show, which resorted in the closing of the "Bar". Well, maybe a better band should have played to show the cops a better time and show that Metal isn't pure fucking noise like how Gravehill portray it to be. The drummer can only do so much to hold the band together, the guitarists just need to come in with better riffs.

Enough about Gravehill, next up was Nuclear Desecration, another War Metal band. For some reason, this set was far more enjoyable then any other ones. Possibly their music was more enjoyable or possibly it was the atmosphere that they had. Throughout the set their would be pits but not enough to last too long. They were so well-received that there was another song to be played, I am not sure which one it was, I don't follow their music but I know it wasn't what the crowd wanted.

After their set Randy and Sammy bought some beers and I took a couple of swills from them, not enough to do anything though and I didn't want to spend more money tonight, so I guess I had to live through the rest of the show sober, which I mostly do anyways. Nothing dampened my spirit as the band that I was most looking forward to was to take the stage, KRIEG! Their set was odd, they had some songs that were played amazingly well and got you moving, while there were others that were pretty boring. Imperial, despite being shorthaired now still had that presence, and the other members were those that just stand there and not do shit either. Overall, their set was good but it was not to my expectations, I believe it is the song choice that determined the set.

Revenge, the last band on the list was to play right now. And everybody gathered in front of the stage. At this time, the venue was becoming harder and harder to get around. Randy was next to me, while Andrew was running around like always, and Sammy, I don't know what the fuck happened to her. Anyways, the crowd went crazy, the violence in front of the stage was brutal. And the guys of Revenge know how to play a great set. Sadly, I am not much a War Metal guy so I just sat back and watched the set. I still thought it was sloppy and unorganized but hell, they play it well and got the crowd chanting, pushing, elbowing, pitting, and throwing shit all over the place. Their second to last song was Blood of My Blood, and no words can describe the chaos that was to erupt in the venue.

Overall, I thought it was a great night, I had companions to drink with, not that I don't mind being alone, I met a couple new people, and I came up on four CDs, and built sustained my tolerance. Now, it's time for homework and listening to the albums that I had just purchased, and then fucking work, good thing my neck doesn't hurt, or it would be living pain in the fucking ass!

Header

So, I finally managed to get something that I was mildly content with, but I believe that when I get a digital camera, I will take a picture that captures what I believe. No, there is nothing very religious to it, by religious I mean connected to Christianity. Christianity is the darkness and the light is the end of it resorting to the reconstruction of the human species. And I believe that it went hand in hand with the title Advent Nostalgia. Advent meaning coming to an idea, that idea being of Nostalgic value, Nostalgia, a throwback to another time in the past, mostly being good events. There is also a sense of irony in this picture when standing next to the blog. I, as you all know, am very anti organized religion, so the light is being used against "Them".

Prop 8

It still angers me when I witness the stats of the election, well, the only portion of it aside from presidency, Prop 8. It's funny how stupid some people can be, who are we to govern another person's decision whether or not to marry someone of the same sex. It's happened plenty of times before, the ancient Greeks thought homosexuality was something of natural causes, the Hindu's believed that being of women and men was godly thus having the same desire for them, and there are various cultures around the world that have excepted that belief. It seems that Christianity has managed to force their beliefs upon us, I personally, see nothing morally wrong about it, and I think my morals are pretty straightforward. Once again, opprobrium has been bestowed on the American culture. It seems we will never get around our selfishness, if only I had one wish, it would be to get out of this country.

By the way, like the new design? I am still trying to figure something things out like putting the nostalgia effect in, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. I am horrible with website design, photoshop and so on and so forth, Lyle was suppose to help me out but it seems he is too busy performing fellatio with them Koreans. Anyway, don't expect anything grand.

Krieg

I guess this is where my regret for not getting a license earlier really kicks in. Krieg (one of the best USBM bands) and Iconoclast Contra are coming to California with Revenge, which I don't care much for, are coming this Saturday to the Black Castle. And I will won't be attending due to the fact that I can't fucking drive! I guess this is another lesson learn, don't procrastinate!

Spoke to soon...I have a ride. Now all I hope is that there better be better beer, if not I will have to settle with Milwaukee's BEAST! I probably won't be buying much merch, but I am getting paid this week just in case, but at least 100 bucks will be put into the Vegas fund.

HORNA

November 1st was a day that I had been looking forward to, probably since the Averse Sefira show. Anthony being a good friend decided to give me a ride and Oliver and Steve tagged along to keep him company. While they were getting Pink's and exploring the Dark Side of LA (pun intended haha), I was in the Black Castle awaiting the much anticipated horde known as Horna.

The first three bands that I really had no intention of watching were alright. Their stage presence wasn't to great and for some reason, this still remains true, a lot of black metal bands tend to not do anything while on stage. I don't understand this concept, is it something that is part of the elite status to act as if you never gave a fuck about performing. Some bands on the otherhand pull it off quite well and makes the show far more dark then it ever was before. One band that I found to be a complete waste of time was Regnum... Their appearances seem to be a joke, stage presence was horrible, and their corpse paint was something similar to this, a white man getting black cum on his face. It was horrible.

The next band was Nekcrium. I had to watch them since I have never seen them before and the vocalist is a friend of mine, so I can't say that I am his friend if I have never seen any of his shows. Anyways, their performance was better than that which was filmed at the AWS outdoor arena. They seemed to be able to get the crowd going and weren't like any of the bands brought up earlier. The vocalist was armed with religious statues which he consistently spatted on, a chain which was used to whip himself like the religious flagellants of old time, and his gauntlets which he had attempted to draw blood with, that was a failure. Their set seemed to loosen everyone up, I on the other hand, felt that I just wanted to enjoy the show from a distance and decided to purchase a Milwaukee's Best. Now, I am a fan of cheap red neck beers, but this was horrible. It was over carbonated and there was absolutely no taste, even Natural Ice is better and that was said to be the most atrocious beer known to man.

Next band was Sumeria, one of my top 5 favorite bands, but I think it's sad to say, I am grown tired of their sets and live performances. I have seen them so many times that it has just become boring. Despite that, I still managed to get myself to be in the front headbanging.

Nocturnal Fear was next and all I have to say is boring. Their music seems a bit too chaotic and unorganized that it leaves you in a state of confusion. It seemed like nobody was able to get into it but there was one aspect of the bad that was interesting. The guitarist has a full upper body of tattoos, I was unable to see what it was exactly, but just have a full body is amazing.

Blood Stained Dusk was next, and the friend rule comes in once again. Earlier, I had finally been able to met, the man who has created my gauntlets, Profana, the drummer of BSD. It was a refreshing taste of music since it was all tremolo picking and keyboards were put to use. I found their set to be one of the most interesting ever, I didn't expect them to do their clean recitals and their motivational speeches. I think without those their set would be far more different.

Last but definitely not least, Horna, at this time, practically everybody was huddled at the front of the stage. The venue of 100+ strong were all gathered in front screaming Horna and song requests, which I am very sure half of their pronounciations were horribly off. Anyways, as soon as Corvus came on, which had an odd yet menacing look, and something far off from the traditional corpse paint wear, the crowd went nuts. He screeches sent chills down your back and his presence got the crowd going throughout. Although I didn't stay for part of their set, Kuoleva Lupaus was amazing. This is on record so far, my favorite song, and I didn't think it could have gotten any better. At first, there were technical difficulties but once Shatraug got that under control everything was in perfect clarity. This song was completely different from that of the record, it consisted of blues-like soloing over the standard tremolo of the actual song.

Aside from that, it was a great show to end my show season, I don't have any intention of attending any shows for quite some time, sadly, I will have to miss Krieg's CA show which I will regret later, but you always have to put priorities first.
