Regions

I never thought about it but certain bands are stuck to certain regions. Even if I have never listened to their music in that specific region, they manage to evoke a sense of nostalgia to when I was there. Velvet Cacoon for example serves as the mnemonic device for Oliver, Bj, and my enjoyment of watching seals moan and groan in a cold setting. If it were raining, I don't think that could have been topped. Marissa Nadler seems to create a sense of happiness by just being in the city of San Francisco. As the cold breeze welcomes you and I light my first cigarette in the city, it definitely feels appropriate. Crystal Castles on the other hand creates a sad tone. With our departure from Vegas on New Years Day, the song just blares through the speakers as the sun sets behind us and the desert fatigue seeps through our skin. As you see everyone fall asleep on the way back, the city of life becomes further and further away, it can be unsettling. Travelling is something I wish I can partake in more often.

I am sure there are more.

Mushrooms

My experience was amazing. I wouldn't go into full detail considering the many differences that my trip was to those of others. Certain things happen to different people, in a way, whatever you think kind of happens. I don't want to influence your trip. Indulge responsibly.

I bought a pack of cigarettes.

Terrestrial

Under shrooms, Velvet Cacoon's ambient tracks triggers the effects. Something that possesses nothing but tones with little to no variation creates something that can only be experienced through hallucinogens.

I witnessed the creation of a digital sea

Unfortunately, I must set foot on this Earth with what seemed to be infinite knowledge locked away.

Empty

This past weekend I have gotten very little sleep. Friday night was the Riverside party which gave me a few laughs, I didn't drink very much since I was DD. Last night was the Kult ov Azazel and Tenebrous show. The opening bands were alright, nothing too great or interesting, or even worth mentioning, but the last two were amazing. The small attendance was a disappointment but it didn't change the performance, they gave the small crowd all that they could.

Despite some mishaps on behalf of Xaphan, session for Tenebrous, the sound was still great. VJS pounded on the drums and shattered cymbals and sticks while the snare was suffering from a consistent blast. Armanen's vocals were clear, raspy and scathing, almost reptilian. I couldn't resist headbanging throughout all my favorite songs which were played.

Kult ov Azazel cut plenty of their songs off their list but the songs were played with precision. One thing that isn't heard very often is that bands that release numerous albums tend to not cover a number of them. Kult ov Azazel covered their whole discography, songs ranged from Triumph of Fire to Destroying the Sacred. Dual vocals evoked a haunting atmosphere, layered with fast, technical drumming made their set one to not be missed.

And of course, while at the Black Castle, I tried a new beer, Samuel Adams Octoberfest. It was quite delicious, a nice thick flavor, smooth finish, a perfect amount of foam that stayed for quite some time. Upon first sip, you are welcomed with sweets and departed with a nice bitterness. It definitely ranks high among dark beers, blows New Castle (which I see to be overrated now) out of the water.

I made some new friends as well!

Escape

The San Francisco desecration was a success. A trip that was really looked forward to prove to be everything I had thought it to be. Departing from Orange County at 6 o' clock after having very little sleep wasn't easy but the rewards were hearty.

Day 1:

The drive was a long and hard one, my ass became sore from being stationary for so long and the lack of sleep pushed it's way through but we all managed to stay awake. Bj and Michael took the shifts for our arrival. After soaring through the deserted hills of who knows what city, when civilization was encountered, we were treated with the least hospitality from a cop giving us some of the dirtiest looks while possessing the most asshole of moves, thankfully, there were other notable sights that kept everyone but Mike from lingering on those glares. As we got closer to the City a heavy fog covered everything, it was thick, dark, amazing.

When we arrived at the hotel room, it was even more shady then I had thought. The stair corridor was a great opportunity to get raped, the surrounding area was home for the nocturnal low lives that flow through the streets, and the room itself had it's share of unpleasant sights. The lady at the front lacked English skills and the night attendant did as well but made up for it with hospitality. The shower had difficult temperature controls, it took some burns and shriveled balls to come to the perfect temperature. The shower walls was a horrible attempt at a nice white marble, it had our eyes perceive the "marble" as stains. The sink was cracked, the toilet was low, but considering how cheap the hotel was and our location, it was a good deal.

The room wasn't ready as soon as we got there so we decided to begin slight exploration and getting something to eat. The city welcomed us with a cool breeze, a sun, and clear, blue skies creating a sense of Southern Californian winters. We made our way to a local mom and pop pizza shop which proved to be great indeed. While eating we made many observations, there is a skinhead population, I saw four in 30 minutes, the lifestyle seems more independent during the day, smiles are rarely spared, hipsters on fixed gear bikes are annoying and make the drive much harder, and the word hella hasn't been said.

After the meal, we made our way back to the room for some relaxation, laid in our respected areas, and turned on the tube. Bob Ross was a room favorite, he manages to create the most soothing scenes with ease and everything appears to be flawless, armed with a very creepy voice, makes Bob Ross a must watch. Later, we met up with an ex co worker of mike and mine and we figured a tad bit more in regards to San Francisco.

Since he doesn't drive, we dropped him off near his bus stop and made our way to the Fisherman's Wharf. Tourism is rampant here, many people from all over the place have gathered here to freeze their balls off and listen to Sea Lion's unique moans, all which are easily able to be converted into sexual feelings. The Wharf is home to some great seafood and stinky Crust Punks that pick at other people's unwanted food. The Clam Chowder was great, the sourdough bowl that held it was great. The Wharf has a heavy resemblance to Hollywood, it has it's show people that try to make their living and those bums that ruin their living and hide it. But one Bum was different, he was honest, with a sign that says "Why Lie I Need Beer", Bj could not resist giving him money. Surprisingly, many Bums are respectful, they ask about your day before asking for money, it may be a hollow question but it beats "MONEY!"

The night was coming to a close and we made our way back to the room to prepare for another night.

Day 2:

The second day was show day, Vinh wakes up exclaiming "HAVE HEART!", I wake up to a dream featuring dismemberment and trolleys. We woke up on time but some how left late, but that didn't scathe our plans one bit, we made our way to Ghiradelli Square and indulged in the Sundaes and Banana Splits Ghirdaelli had to offer. Mike and Vinh purchased an creamy and perfect blend of Peanut butter, vanilla ice cream, and fuck knows what else. Bj stuck with a traditional Banana splits starring a very fresh banana, Oliver got some berry sundae which was my favorite, the blend of Strawberry, Raspberry, Blueberry was evenly distributed creating something very exquisite. I got a Mint Dark Chocolate (86%), it was too rich, my taste buds are use to Stater Bros. quality.

After the treats, I got my crash but we still went to the Golden Gate Bridge and walked across it of course. This another popular tourist attraction, unfortunately, so many of them have bikes it makes walking a possible threat. I was wearing my Nocturnal Depression shirt and some teenager picked up the crisis phone and we just laughed at each other, I always wondered, if he did kill himself and my shirt does come up in a video filmed by the City (from the cameras on the bridge) would I be held accountable? Anyways, after the bridge, some black guy was making his move on some British Pussy, I hope he failed but then again, she wasn't anything to brag about.

The lack of money cut most of our plans off, so everybody just hit back to the rooms and rested up for the show. Oli and I wanted to make the most out of our short stay so we were going to eat and explore the city a bit. Vinh joined us in our snack and we were at a Burger King which only had one mexican person employed, the rest were Phillipino's, interesting. Anyways, Vinh headed back towards the hotel, while Oli and I had some quality time together visiting Huf, The Hundreds, which I must say looks "DANK!" (haha) and wanted to go Hookah at a very authentic looking Hookah Bar. We walked around a bit more and came to the conclusion that San Francisco only has one really bad street, everything else is relatively peaceful, a typical city. City Hall looks like a place of royalty, it is like Minas Tirith. In fact, all building possess a different sort of design, very euro-like, arches are used frequently, large square brings design the buildings, and heavy gates guard the entrances. The playgrounds around City Hall prohibit any Teenager that misses his/her childhood with signs that say, "NO adults allowed unless accompanied by Children".

Oliver and I decided to head back to the hotel room and from then on, everybody but Oliver headed to the show. Thee Parkside was located in a neighborhood like area and sticks out like ea sore thumb. It is a very small venue having it's maximum capacity being only 200 people roughly, and the stage was only one foot off the ground. Despite that, the sound was amazing, perfect clarity sounded throughout, the crowd was put into a frenzy when Have Heart played. I ended up getting my hair pulled by FAT bitches. It was an alright show, I am not into the music heavily (reasons will be listed in the future), so that could be another reason why.

Day 3:

Day 3 began at the venue and ended with our departure. We only had 2 hours of sleep, Oliver had plenty of sleep and a good meal, another pizza from some other parlor with real Italians working there. We left around 5:30 and I fell asleep, Oliver took the first shift of driving and I was to take the second, so I bought myself a 5 Hour Energy, and made it here alive.

Meth

Today I tried something new, Meth. It was a waste of my money, an overrated drug hyped up by media attention, but then again, it was my first time. The only thing I felt was a pain in my nose and the nasty taste from what had been dripping. I don't plan on doing this again for any reason other than wanting to experience that feeling, but as of now, I have no urges.

Descension

Spring break is coming to a close and I have yet to do anything worth mention so it would be foolish of me to let up such a great opportunity. What opportunity exactly? A one night stay at the luxurious five star hotel, the Duong-Ly Resort and Casino. Included with this stay was a night of Blockles and internet courtesy of the owners themselves. In addition to such extravagance, the next day would follow with a descent down the Mountains and bear witness to the magnificent water falls of the Big Santa Anita Canyons.

Bj and I arrived at the dorm room quite late due to the fact that I had work till 9 and Bj had to take his mom to work, overall it worked well. We arrived at the dorm around 11 roughly and the room to my expectations was packed with 13 people, appropriately, 15 (whales, you know). The night was to be filled with Blockles fun but that didn't last long so we managed to find other ways of enjoyment in the resort. Before Steven was up for his match, he was flirting with someone through OMGpop which Bj led her to capitalize over the game itself by angering her with obscene scripts. It was all in good fun of course. Johnaheim and Keane came out to be on top, but sadly, I forgot who won. Later around 4 a.m., we made our way to the lounge to allow Tim's roommate, Manuel, to sleep. We managed to stay up for quite some time watching Ghost videos, but none of them managed to creep under our skins.

We made our way back to the room and tried to catch a few hours of sleep, Steven and I managed to get roughly 4 hours of sleep, Oliver, a considerable amount, and Bj, one hour of sleep. Since we all were awake and everyone still remained dormant, Steven, Bj, Oliver, and I decided to break our few hours of fasting and made our way to Pinks. The line wasn't long which is always a great thing and our cravings were dealt with. Our hike was to take part in a few hours but it seemed that we were all put into a food coma and we all became lazy until we made our way towards the mountains.

After being forced through a treacherous path we made our way up the mountain. It's amazing to witness such beauty. The trees were green and healthy, the air pure and clean, the water which trickled was sewage free (or so we believed), the pathways. . . hellish, I guess this was the bad yet good part. We were armed ready for what was to come so we made our 2 mile march in search of Sturtevent falls. At the beginning of our descent, we came across another group of hikers and I being in full regalia, one of them asked me to scare the other portion of the group. . . I failed miserably. My striking appearance was to no surprise to them. Anyways, on the way there we came across many types of wildlife and various types of . . . feces. Being up in the mountains did give you a sense of relaxation but you were also enveloped in fear. The forests is something that is vacant to all that can be dangerous thus a sense of caution was taken. After an hour or so of hiking we came to the falls and took a bit of a rest and pictures. We then made our way up which was incredibly painful, going downhill puts an immense amount of stress on your knees while going uphill puts your muscles to their limits.

It would only make sense to refuel after a hike so we ended the night with some Pho and broken rice. I would say that this day was definitely worth the small amount of hours of sleep and the pain staking descent and ascension of the hill. How often do you welcome nature with open arms and drown yourselves in fresh air?

Onto other topics, the Embrace the Hate line up has been released and it is good, but I most likely will not attend such an amazing fest due to the fact that I believe the stage performances of many bands have become stale. The bands seem to delve deep into individuality that they have no regards to how they should perform because of their "I am better than you" mentality. Whatever happened to "Cut your flesh and worship satan", headbanging in front of the stage, it seems like all that matters now is being your own person, not showing any respect for any of the bands, and hoping to get that chick that has been passed around numerous times and claiming that they have a certain amount of devotion to be superior to others. I don't think I will be going to any Black Metal shows unless I am certain that band will give a great performance. Don't get me wrong, I still love the music, but it seems everything has changed. Get your head's out of your ass, Individuality is impossible to obtain unless you have no friends, family, or media around you. So Sound and Fury here I come!

Three

Departure always seems to be the hardest part of Vegas. I actually want to tear up, the atmosphere has transcends all in humanity, it is a place where everybody can congregate, it is like a fellowship, a following, a cult.

We woke up fairly late due to the fatigue we had suffered the day prior but we managed to continue and do what we had the intention of doing. We dropped off Vinh to be with her family, while the seven of us went to Terrible's, and I must say it was TERRIBLE! Horrible service, shit food, crappy red neck theme. Nothing worthwhile, Tim, I thought you had higher standards in terms of food (haha).

After our nasty lunch, we made our way to Caesar's Palace to go to some Magic shop where Sufa, Oli, and Thomas purchased some interesting things. While we were waiting outside, another Magician in training performed a trick which I must say was great. It involved cards and fire, chances are you people have seen it. Anyways. I know there is always something behind it but it was still great. I wish him well if he has the intention of going big, he did seem scared. His fear manifested through his trembling hands and vibrating voice. I assure everyone, there is nothing to us that should invoke a sense of intimidation.

We soon made our farewells to such a great city and made our way home. Gratefully, we were not stopped or slowed down by traffic. I think I should go and get my rest because I have a fight tomorrow. To the curious, this trip did not disappoint, it surpassed all my expectations, I didn't expect such a dirty city to have such nice people. Anyways, Happy New Year.

Two

New Year's eve, the Strip was increasing in number by the minute and by the time we reached the Wynn hotel it was practically shoulder to shoulder. Sadly, that walk seemed to be another pointless destination due to the fact that New Year's has specials and results in a huge jump in price to indulge in good quality food. As a back up, we walked back to the Mirage to feast on an international buffet by the name of Cravings, excellent and appropriate name I must add.

The day was fairly early but Vinh and Mike wanted to still do some catching up on sleep so they made their way back to the room for a one hour sleep that was interrupted by the rest of the group's noisy antics. While they were sleeping, King, Steve, Meat, Oli, Sufa, and myself walked around the Strip enjoying the scenery and made our way back to the room.

Because it was New Year's eve, we couldn't go out on the Strip being sober so we took a few shots. I returned to shots with a nice warm one of Jack Daniel's along with Michael while Sufa and Oli took multiple ones with the wide selection of Jose Cuervo, JD, Smirnoff, and Bacardi. Steve and Meat later joined when their excessive card games were mixed with shots as punishments. I returned to my beer and it seemed that everybody was fairly buzzed except King and Vinh. This is when chaos ensued and the room was thrashed beyond belief. Pretzels managed to litter the floors in companionship with the Porn advertisements while we were all dog piled one after another, slammed into the bed, banged against walls, and various other forms of cruel and unusual punishment. Steve, of course, suffered the most pain. When Oliver or Meat jumps on top of you, you are bound to bruise a rib or two, or worse.

The time was 9:45 and we decided to join the other people on the strip for some drunken madness. That didn't last long when we knew that we did not take the necessary amount of alcohol to enjoy the night so we made a quick return to our room, took a fair amount of shots, and went back into the drunken chaos. Vinh and King took one shot and it seems that new statistics were in, Vinh gets drunk off of a shot of Malibu. Anyways, We barely made it for the countdown and when those 10 seconds counted down the energy rose to a divine level. Never have I seen such excitement and companionship, you don't know anybody yet you act as if they are your best friends. Meat was blurting out Mgms, a word that we have coined on this adventure, and other various statements. We were confronted with energy as we walked all over the place and it was absolutely amazing. Our hands clashed with those of others, our screams were replied with those of equal or greater strength, our bodies were in a state of euphoria. We didn't give a fuck who we talked to, we were doing this out of pure fun and with alcohol running through our veins and the natural high and feedback, we could careless what race they were, who they were, we congregated with everyone, all personal differences were thrown out. Interestingly, Lisa "Robocop" was there as well. And of course, when you mix alcohol, me, and fanatics you get me blurting out, "Hail Satan/Lucifer!", interesting enough, I was greeted with equal responses and supporters. Sadly, this excitement ended and we made our way back to our room to conclude another night being in a dormant state but before that can be done, we needed snacks. So Sufa and Thomas went on a snack run and brought back the food and a story which could have resulted in sex for Sufa.

One

I have just arrived back from another mecca to the City of Sin, Las Vegas, and I am fairly tired. We began the highly anticipated trip with a early wake up call, the reason being smart yet pointless. Sufa demanded our departure to be at 6:45 to beat all the traffic that was soon to occur, we met little resistance and got to the Tropicana on time with 4 hours to spare before our check-in time. It seemed that waking up early is of nobody's enjoyment due to the fact that only Vinh, Mike, and myself were practically awake for the whole trip there. Traffic from outside new's seem to not begin till roughly around 10 so we would have had another hour or two of sleep.

Luckily, we were able to get an early check-in and managed to get our room which I must say is crap compared to the one which we had at the Luxor. This room was the highest before the suites and it barely accomadated our needs. Thankfully, we are not homophobic and shared the beds with one another, yet it still proved to be difficult to get a comfortable area on the floor to sleep in. The room wasn't too great but it was better than nothing. In addition to the room, the hotel, in general, was like a blast furnace. The heater was put to such a level that Mike got sick due to the rapid change of climates. The atmosphere in that hotel wasn't great, it is filled with nothing but old people who are lazy to drive/walk that extra bit and wanted a casino where smoking was something overlooked and heavily smiled upon. Anyways enough about the compact/horrid conditions of the Tropicana, as soon as we got in the room, we all attempted to catch up on what rest we had missed out on. Sufa, Oliver, and myself were unable to sleep and I just grabbed my second beer of the day (the first being at 7) and began drinking it before taking a shower. As soon as I came out, Sufa managed to fall asleep and everybody else began talking and making noise. We all got ready and decided to make our walk over to Mandalay Bay to enjoy a good night's dinner buffet.

Mandalay Bay always seems to hit the spot in terms of craved foods. Everything there is of top quality and nothing that I liked seemed to dissapoint aside from the ironically, fresh batch of Deep Fried Shrimp. After our dinner, the group dispersed into three. Mike and Vinh had their romantic night out with a Cirque De Soleil show, Ka, King, Oli, Steve, and Meat went to the room and hit the jacuzzi, while Sufa and myself bought a couple of cigarettes and cigars to make our way to Circus Circus. On the way, we witnessed a fairly nice amount of women with warhead tits, Vegas NEVER dissapoints when in comes to nubile women, of course you do come across those that seemed to be conceived through acts of incest.

Around 11:30, we all met back up in the room and decided to have the festivities begin. I drank another beer while Vinh, Mike, Sufa, and Oli took a couple of shots. It seems that we all are absolutely fascinated by the extremely low alcohol tolerance of Vinh and made various guesses at what would happen with a shot. We came to the conclusion that 1 shot results in her being buzzed, 2nd shot resulting in drunk, 3rd, throwing up. After such a tiring day, we all knocked out at 2:00 a.m. and that was the end of day 1.

High

It's been quite some time since my last post and it has been quite some time since our last excursion to Mt. High. We arrived fairly early simply because we did not want to make our descent from the mountain with weary senses. With a different group it was something great, remarkable, memorable.

The mountain had just suffered from a storm which left quite a mark on the mountain side. The mountain was littered with snow, inhabited by thrill seekers, and the natives themselves. The weather was definitely harsh, at first it was bearable but throughout the night we buried our hands in snow, resulting in cold hands, gloves served no purpose at this point. I made a joke about walking around shirtless but it seems everybody took it seriously, so might as well, I lasted a measly 15 minutes approximately. The night was filled with pictures to reflect our ascension along the mountain (soon to be posted on Anything You Synthesize).

After our voyage through Mt. High, we made our way back into the Inland Empire and decided to try something new. I don't remember the name but this diner was well-serviced, possibly one of the best waiter's I have ever had. The service was top-notched, and at this time, day, and age, everybody could care less, Francisco (our waiter) seemed to think otherwise. We were greeted with open arms and a waiter who would make sure that what was currently devoured remained at hand.

This was definitely a night to remember and a perfect example that nature can provide all that you need in terms of fun. Half of the population takes nature for granted, just take a step on the ice and your opinion will change instantly, even ask Steve. People always seek thrills yet remain in the areas which are touched by human hands far too often, a simple walk on the beach or in this case, climb up the mountain can run blood through your veins.

On a side note, my expectations on the Vegas trip are high. We managed to get approval for the car. We have armed ourselves accordingly for the task at hand, and we have suffered through too much to make sure such a task would continue on the desired path. The city of Sin provides with too much to overlook, for those that use, "what can you do in Vegas?" as an excuse, I ask you this, "what is new that you have not done in this small 20 mile radius known as Orange County?" If you know of something better than eating some of the best food, the ambiance, the companionship, and all that I have left out, please tell me, it can save me 300 dollars. . .

Conquered

As Bj has stated, "Alondra's is the new Hat", and it has indeed been proven that it is. We made our second dine-in experience being something that was worthy of being blogged. Steve actually managed to finish the Atomic Wings, with overall ease, he did show signs of struggle during the last few. Bj, on the other hand, failed once again, but it gave us all a good laugh. Steve did manage to surpass the extreme climates that were in his mouth, but what was to come was something far worse. Steve decided to take part in the Ben-gay on balls activity and was put through excruciating pain. A video will be posted shortly. That is all, I am quite tired so further elaboration will not be done and you didn't miss much.

Suicide

It's not very often that we face a foe that makes us stop nor have we faced one that has caused us to cry. We tend to devour our meals with impunity, and the little prayers left to stand in our way are extinguished, this is possibly where the prayers are being recited by the most devoted.

Oli, Anthony, Meat, Mike, Bj, and myself made our way to Downtown Long Beach, which to my amazement is far more spectacular and cleaner than "uptown" Long Beach. I felt a bit of a comfortable atmosphere rather than being in an atmosphere which one word can lead you down to your grave. Alondra's Hot Wings was no different, it had a very cozy, comfortable, atmosphere which made are meal feel far longer. The walls were decorated with all that pertained to the Mob from pictures to articles, leaving you with a mild impression of authenticity.

We were told that this place was the creators of spicy hot wings and those rumors did not disappoint. Anthony, Meat, and I decided to take the 2nd to the spiciest while Bj went for the Atomic, meaning he had to sign the "waiver", Oli had Honey BBQ and Mike had a delicious pizza which we all shared. As soon as the wings came out you could smell the spicy's that were put on, it was as if Satan himself had ejaculated onto a chicken that he himself had forged. As soon as we dug into those wings, we were put into a state of agony. Tears began to drop my eyes after the 3rd one and Bj's tears were flaring out, or how the manager had described it, "jumped out". It was hysterical yet painful. Anthony was the only one who finished the Suicide, and Bj only went through 2, the latter still having meat. After going through the blazing wings, we decided to cool our tongues off with Deep fried twinkies which did not dissapoint.

Once we left Long Beach, we made our way back to home and stopped by at Oli's house. From here, Bj, Ant, Oli, and Meat rubbed Bengay on their balls and the results should be obvious. The reactions were priceless and thankfully, we were able to record it, so expect them up on Anything You Synthesize, the link can be taken from my page.

Sandwiches, Amoeba, and UCLA

The trip that Bj and myself had been postponing for various reasons finally went underway. Our first destination among the list of food places and our nascent state of becoming food connoisseurs was Phillipes.

This place was to be said to be a great french dip place, I decided to go further on the edge and try something they were not known for, I came out satisfied. I purchased the Chili and to complement the taste, it was accompanied by vanilla ice cream and a nine cent cup of coffee, no matter how shitty, you can't beat the price. Bj and Oli decided to stick with what was known and purchased sandwiches, a baked apple, and the very affordable lemonade.

After our indulgence of food, we made our way to the Elliot Smith wall and of course, it is LA and today's oddity was the bike gang of Santas. It was an interesting sight, Oli said they were a bike gang and I thought they were fags, either way, interesting indeed. We got to the Elliot Smith wall and Bj paid his respects, Oli and I didn't have an intention to pay our respects, and all I knew of him was he was a writer of some sort.

Next stop was Amoeba, and of course, that is hell for me. I have the intention of going in and buying a few albums and come out buying a few more, to my amazement, I came out with nothing but another list to be created in terms of albums to get, now that I have eBay everything will be in my hands. We then made our way to Supreme and we were amazed at seeing such a large amount of cop cars heading in one direction. As we made a turn onto Fairfax we witnessed a neighborhood being blocked off, a shooting or something of large magnitude had to have gone down. Anyways, we got to Supreme and Oli managed to come up on some rare red Vans, I have no interest in shoes, so I can't further the detail of such an item, all I know is that Oli was delighted to have them in his hands, a well deserved birthday gift for himself I would assume.

UCLA was our final stop before going back to Orange County and we visited Jonaheim and Tim in their dorm rooms to provide them with a short relief from studying. It seems they are under large amounts of pressure for finals, luckily, I attend a half assed community college and don't have to worry about anything, my luck to you guys. UCLA seems to be such a spirited school, I never understood that, possibly their inspiration comes from being well treated with a massive campus. UCSD cannot contend with such beauty, UCSD is crap compared to this.

Our night ended with Korpiklaani being played in the car and another Famima!! run. It seems that the amazement of Leninade and the marble bottle will never cease to amaze us, that store has become a phenomenon that has swept the easily amused minds of ours.

ACHTUNG!
I have received Nausea by Jean Paul Sartre, a book of existentialist philosophy, along with other cds. It seems that the reviews will definitely be slowed down. In addition to the processing of the various art forms I have gathered, I will have to catch up on some put off work for 2 of my classes, I expect to have at least 2/3 of it done tomorrow, if not, don't expect to see me for quite some time.

Leninade

It seems that the straight edge lifestyle is taking the world by storm, but I am not going let that bother me from attending certain events, especially Oli's surprise birthday bash. It was interesting seeing some old faces such as Natalie, which I barely recognized but I think her intentions were obvious and I never talk to her, considering the past, this was worth a mention, in addition to the "Devourer of 'Ranch'", Bum and Liz made a "guest appearance", which I haven't talked to since the Belphegor/Averse Sefira/Immolation show at the Galaxy.

To substitute for the lack of alcohol, I purchased some Swisher's and to my amazement there was a jumper in the back which must have sent half of us to the better times of a worry-free kid life. It was something that just captures your breathe, seeing half these people enjoy such times in such a dire era, for that time, my bitter emotions were released. Our nostalgic times came about especially those that were referenced to Wrestling, which all did, and we finally fulfilled some of our kid dreams of being a wrestler. Despite the lack of alcohol, it seems Oliver felt a bit wheezy resulting in vomit being spilled upon the grass. This night overall was a fine example that quality time with good friends can never be substituted for anything.

Another aspect of the night that seemed to be absolutely hysterical was the fact that a Penis was used as a pinata, what took this Trojan horse to be even more comical was what it was filled with a vibrator and a few condoms along with the occasional chocolate. To have the perversion excel into further depths, I witnessed a cake in the shape of an Ass with something of fecal resemblance being rubbed with the vibrator and licked by the birthday boy himself, oh how I love the dirty mind. Good thing, Bj, Steve, Steven, and myself were outside smoking what cigars were left after the first batch seemed to go buy in quick fashion.

After the party, Bj and I decided to pay a visit to Famima!! Now this store is a store of such greatness, it has Leninade, along with other imported drinks and snacks. Leninade, is a delicious, lightly-carbonated, melon/orange soda with sarcastic lines referring to the Soviet Union. It is amazing. Usually soda is something I wish to drink only when it would go great with a meal, but this, this will stand among Monsters and be a soda that should be consumed often!

Aside from positive events of this party, Sufa will be departing once again. I wish him all the best within the month of seeing each other. We have reached this far, Vegas will be achieved as planned.

Sigma Nu

My expectations were extremely high for their Oktoberfest party. I have consistently been told that at a Frat Party, the alcohol is supplied to the fullest extent in which it will never run dry and Sorority girls are horny as hell. Neither came to fruition. The party was B.Y.O.B. and it seemed that the ratio of girls and guys were 10:2, and half of those chicks were those that dance with chicks only while the other half weren't very attractive.

When we got there, the house was fairly packed, covered in black, music was screeching through the speakers and the house was infested with various characters from hit shows/movies (they are the same it seems, originality is lacking nowadays) to skanky whores. Something that I believed was horrible is the fact that their flier lacked so much information that we were confronted with a numerous amounts of problems, such as donation and something called a V.I.P list party. This was a Costume party and only Mike and Joe were dressed up. Being the homosexual couple known as Bert and Ernie, this got rave reviews. They got pics with random chicks and various compliments. Later, we hooked up with Vinh, Anthony, and Vinh's co-workers and Ricardo, Sparky, Ivan, Cupcake, Boyto, and Anthony Peregrino, that alone was amazing. Never have I seen them at parties, and to add on, they were actually drinking... ALCOHOL. Another oddity in the night was Johnny who drank a beer, and he downed it pretty well. He is far more superior than Meat since he didn't complain, he just drank! A real man... haha. Anthony Tran, being a member of the frat, left us, and later showed up in an outrageous outfit which matched all the other members. One of the perks of being in a frat? Looking like an idiot? Along with getting laid... ass.

For awhile, everybody was just standing there drinking their beers, loosening up, and after the second time of glancing back my beer was stolen. What was horrible about that, was that one 24 oz. can did not get me a buzz. Aside from that I was still in the mood to dance, but the reasons listed above were what made this night not to good. Only a hand few of us got to dance with strangers. In addition, eventually, the atmosphere became dead, the place was overcrowded, and the people you go with wanted to leave. Which I believed made no sense, but that is for another story, I am pretty sure this won't be the first time something like this occurs. Eventually the majority won and we decided to leave, it seemed by the time we left, Vinh was completely drunk, all the signs were there. Consistent nonsense coming from her mouth, a small scent of alcohol coming from her body, and her inability to walk straight.

Once we left, we decided to pay a visit to the nearby Donut Man. We all indulged in various types of donuts ranging from a simple plain donut to the seasonal, Pumpkin Cream Cheese donut. I stuck with my beloved Raspberry Cream cheese. I decided to buy 2 and forgot how sweet and filling one can be and decided to give the other to Don. After this, we all went to Keane's house and the guys decided to play poker. I decided to leave early since it was getting late and my eyes were becoming far more harder to stay open as the night went on. Overall, the night was not what I had expected. Possibly because this was said to be their biggest party, and I am not fond of parties with such a high number, it was huge. I will give a second chance and bring more beer next time. And possibly, a smaller group would bring us greater fortune next time. Mike stayed longer being Anthony's designated driver, hopefully, he had better results.

Hollyweed, Jew-lywood, Hollyweird

Hollywood, a tourist attraction, a fest of mongoloids, religious fanatics, and all your favorite comic book and movie characters all in one place. A place ran by the cheap Jews of America squeezing every penny to have their business flourish. Aside from the negatives, I love it.

Steven picked me up approximately 3:30 and we then made our next stop to be Vinh's house. On our way, we saw a stereotype have proximity with the common Asian-unable-to-drive syndrome. Some asian lady, possibly in her mid 40s drove onto the median. While we were stopped a Mexican conveniently yelled, "It just had to be you," which I believed was hysterical. Anyways, I don't understand how any of that is possible, I have seen it before and it just cracks me up to see it happen. Anyways, we went to pick up Jessica and finally made our way to Hollywood.

When you have an inexperienced freeway driver and someone who doesn't know how to get to Hollywood, it makes it quite a trip. We ended up making several detours on the way there yet we made it in a short about of time. When we finally arrived in Hollywood, we saw various "its" and some grinning lady that had the profile of a serial killer, ill kept, creepy smile, and the relentless walk, it seemed she was going to ask us since Vinh was just staring at her and laughing her ass off. Anyways, we made our first stop at Amoeba, and according to Steven, a transvestite was checking me out, I, on the other hand, had not noticed it and just marveled at all that Amoeba had to offer. All I have to say is this, the Metal section is huge, the way the store is set up is horrible and confusing, and they lack shoegaze, but they did have a lengthy industrial section so I picked up one cd. I told myself, I would be on a 60 dollar budget and told Vinh to make sure I don't buy to much Cds, but she wouldn't be able to do that. Anthony is a perfect example. I made my decisions, them being, KMFDM's WWIII, Horna's Envaatnags Eflos..., and The Radio Dept.'s Lesser Matters.

After Amoeba, are next desired excursion was the strip, and after a few minutes of walking we found it. Vinh and Steven wanted to shop so we just hit various stores, American Apparel, American Eagle, Gap, and a few local shops. We came up on the "I am the Boss" t-shirts that we talk about frequently and all bought one. When we stood in front of the Chinese Theatre, there were various hooligans dressed up, Vinh got scared of Scream and some demon looking character, which was pulled off well. Other noteworthy characters were Wolverine and Chucky, well Chucky was ok but he pulled off the character's personality greatly. Vinh, came up on a couple of items from AA and she finally bought my chain.

Our next destination was the much anticipated and the purpose for going to Hollywood, Pink's. This would be Steven's first time indulging in the best Hot Dogs in California and he did it with the Lord of the Ring's Dog. I took a bite and to my surprise the BBQ sauce they use is delicious, very tangy, up to par with my standards indeed. I got the Planet Hollywood dog, which was equally delicious.

Our next stop would be home and to fill our stomachs with even more impurities, ice cream but it changed to something a tad bit more healthier, yogurt. We ended up crossing into areas which we were unaware of and eventually, Beverly Hills 90210 (insert theme song here). I found it funny because there is a drastic change, I guess they are persistent in trying to get themselves killed. While lost, we made the decision to just backtrack the whole way, and I guess our talking and joking around led to being lost once more. And we eventually were led to the area with the Bape's store and Crooks and Castles. We finally found a gas station, which seemed to be nonexistent when you actually look for one, and it was no avail that the clerk did not know how to get to the freeway. Fortunately, a good Samaritan decided to help us out and we made our way back home.

We stopped by Heaven's Delight and was driven off due to the fact that it was closed so made our way to Yogurt Passion and discovered the ticket Steven had received. The ticket was incorrect, there were so many aspects that are counters to the reason for it, it's another story to be told. We finished our yogurt and decided to take our gay matching pictures, but I am pretty sure the design won't matter, it's me wearing white that would astonish everyone. Even I felt shame cover me, it didn't feel like me.

Anyways, that was our night, and this will be my last night till the 24th, the frat party. I have to save up for Vegas just in case if things don't go correctly, so there is a possible hiatus.
